3M™ Acrylic Foam Tape 5402 is an automotive attachment tape that brings quality and performance to attaching elastomeric parts and seals in automotive applications. This gray tape features a heat-activated adhesive that bonds to EPDM/TPE materials, providing an immediate and durable bond without the need for adhesion promoters.

The adhesive on 3M™ Acrylic Foam Tape 5402 delivers high initial tack, rapid build, excellent final adhesion and resists temperatures up to 194°F / 90 °C. It's applied to the non-liner side of the viscoelastic acrylic foam core, which provides excellent conformability and good wet-out, helping maintain seal integrity. The liner-side pressure-sensitive adhesive delivers high initial and final adhesion to a range of rigid clearcoats, powder coats and other mar- and scratch-resistant paint systems. The gray color of this OEM-approved tape helps create sharp bond lines. The orange polyethylene foil liner is silicone-coated on one side, suitable for heat-bond tabbing. With its eClass 14 Classification Group 23330205 and compatibility with weatherstripping, gasket seals, and materials like EPDM and Santoprene® TPV, this OEM-approved tape is a great choice for automotive trim attachment and sealing needs.
